Google Trends normalizes search data to make it easier to compare terms. Therefore, 90% for Bitcoin and 10% for Ethereum means that the search volume for “Bitcoin” is nine times higher than that of “Ethereum"

Why are some coins missing?

Search interest in “Dash”, “Neo” or “Eos” is ambiguous because people also search for these terms in different contexts. For some coins, you could get around this by comparing the keywords “[coin] wallet” or “[coin] chart”. However, in the analysis, smaller coins did not show sufficient search volume for these types of comparisons.

There are equally no coins with insufficient search volume (<1%) compared to Bitcoin. Among the top cryptocurrencies are “Bitcoin-SV”, “Binance Coin” and “Tezos”.
